Thanks to Mom, Dad, Shawn, Lydia and Jordan for your endless support. This one is for Granny – for sharing her gift of music with me.
Robyn Leigh Johnson (LANEY):
Robyn is a graduate of the acting program at Studio 58. Locally she has appeared in shows with The Vancouver Playhouse, Gateway Theatre, Fighting Chance Productions, The Walking Fish Festival and Footlight Theatre Company. She is thrilled to be working with Intimate Theatre Productions on such a fun show! Special thanks to Aaron for encouraging her to audition, and to Matt for encouraging her to do anything.
Robyn is grateful for the support of her family and friends. Some of them would say she began singing before she could talk. Growing up in Alberta, she had the privilege of working with an esteemed jazz choir and classical choral ensemble. Both groups were competitive in the Kiwanis Music Festival and performed internationally.
Robyn is inspired by many genres of music and has tried her hand at most of them. Past musical groups include the Bruce James Orchestra, Blue Morris 6 and the 10th Avenue Trio. Her current band Smooth Function combines jazz, blues, R&B and soul. Find upcoming gigs and listen to samples at smoothfunctionband.com

Synthia is in her graduating year of Capilano University’s Musical Theatre Program, and could not be happier to be part of Intimate Theatre Production‘s 2013 season’s production of THE GIRL IN THE FRAME! Since she began studying at Capilano in 2010, Synthia has been in several local shows. With Theatre Under The Stars, she was seen in the ensemble of BYE, BYE, BIRDIE! in 2011, and as Caroline Neville this past summer in TITANIC: A NEW MUSICAL. At Capilano University, Synthia was seen as Marjanah in Exit 22‘s ARABIAN NIGHTS, as a dancing waiter/acrobat in HELLO, DOLLY!, and as Maria in this year’s production of TWELFTH NIGHT. She would like to give a huge thank you to Julie and Wendy for this wonderful opportunity!
